Jessica and Doug exchanged vows under the Carillon and mossy oaks with hearts full of faith and hope on a sunny Lake Waled, Florida afternoon. Jessica has a sweet, demure style that turned her Bok Tower wedding into a true southern charmer. Jessica’s personal touches were seen everywhere…from the lacy invitations to the homemade red velvet cupcakes.
Rocking H Ranch
I've shot hundreds of weddings. Hundreds. And, I’ve never seen a man build a cross to marry his wife next to and pray their first prayer as a family underneath. It was, quite simply, beautiful – a real life symbol of this couple’s faith in God and faith in each other.
Before the ceremony, they exchanged letters. Adrian’s letter brought Ashley (and most of the room) to tears as she read it first to herself, then out loud. This is one of my favorite traditions. Just when the craziness of schedules and make-up and boutonnieres reaches a fever pitch, the exchange of letters is like a calming hand that refocuses everyone and gently reminds them why we have all gathered. Two people. One life. Commitment.
Ashley & Adrian's Rocking H Ranch wedding was the perfect mix of Old Florida and traditional elegance. The outdoor ceremony and reception were held under 100 year old Oak Trees dripping in Spanish moss and guests wore out their dance shoes on the twinkle light draped dance floor.
San Juan Capistrano
Denise & Nick were married at The Villa in the charming mission town of San Juan Capistrano.
Between the vintage dress form and the abundant natural light filtering through the antique windows, this southern California wedding was a dream to photograph. Denise wore a blush pink dress with a french bustle so complicated that the dressmaker had to provide a charming diagram. As soon as she put it on, Denise was glowing like Grace Kelly…a classic stunner. The first present Nick ever gave Denise – a soft, worn out bunny rabbit – served as the ring bearer pillow. Before walking down the aisle, they exchanged notes and his love letter brought Denise to both laughter and tears. At the reception, guests were treated to Denise’s mom’s homemade Spice, Sugar, and Apricot cookies.
Cristina & Philip were married at their family's 17th century chateau in Evreux, France.
